Nenuco Cochlear Implant, another step towards normalization

It is a milestone for brands to make a firm commitment to raise public awareness of real family situations. Today we will talk about the new Diversity Line of the leading brand in dolls and dolls Nenuco, which has launched two proposals: Nenuco Cochlear Implant and Nenuco Down Syndrome.

This new Nenuco Diversity collection was born to support and promote equality and inclusion of all children, whatever their abilities.

What is a cochlear implant?

A cochlear implant is a medical device designed to help people with severe or profound hearing loss regain some of their hearing ability. It consists of two main parts: an external component and an internal component.

The external component consists of a microphone that captures sound from the environment and a speech processor that converts the sound into electrical signals. Also, a transmitter that takes the electrical signals from the speech processor and sends them wirelessly through the skin to the internal component.

The Internal component consists of a receiver-stimulator that is surgically implanted under the skin behind the ear. It receives the signals transmitted from the external component and converts them into electrical impulses that are sent to the electrodes placed in the inner ear. The electrodes are thin wires that are placed in the cochlea (inner part of the ear) and directly stimulate the auditory nerve fibers.

A cochlear implant works by bypassing the damaged parts of the inner ear and directly stimulating the auditory nerve. This allows people with severe or profound hearing loss to perceive sound artificially. Without a doubt, it is a very effective tool for many people with severe or profound hearing loss, which significantly improves their quality of life.

What is Down syndrome?

Also known as trisomy 21, it is a genetic condition that occurs when a person has an extra copy of chromosome 21. This means that instead of having two copies of chromosome 21 in each cell of the body, a person with Down syndrome has three copies.

This condition can lead to a variety of physical characteristics and distinctive features, as well as certain differences in development and health. It is important to note that people with Down syndrome are unique individuals with a wide variability in their abilities, interests and personalities. With the right support, many people with Down syndrome can lead full and inclusive lives.

Nenuco Down Syndrome is a 35 cm doll, with a hard body and blond hair adorned with a pink bow, matching a pretty pink dress with flowers. She can also drink and pee.

To be an inclusive brand is to be a relevant brand

From here, my deep gratitude to Nenuco, for giving visibility to this type of everyday situations that should acquire normality, understanding and empathy from everyone.

It is everyone’s duty that society knows and recognizes those who suffer from these characteristics and those who care for them. Therefore, it is very remarkable that a brand is committed to do its bit in this regard. Thank you FAMOSA!
