Enjoy solitary moments every day

Solitude is an essential component of health and wellness. Being alone at certain times of the day brings great insights. That’s when you reconnect with your mind.

But, being alone and feeling alone are two completely different things. Many people feel lonely even when they are in a room full of people. And some people spend a lot of time alone without really feeling lonely.

Solitary skills take practice if you are not used to being alone, but over time, you can become more comfortable being alone.

How can we apply the stoic rule for solitude?

By engaging in a daily mindfulness practice. Scheduling time away from digital channels. Eliminating distractions while you work.

Reading stories is naturally influential

Every story is worth reading. Reading books improves concentration, memory, empathy and communication skills. It can reduce stress, improve mental health and even help you live longer. Reading also allows you to learn new things that will help you succeed in your work and relationships.

How can we apply the stoic rule to create reading habits?

By starting to read every morning and/or evening at a set time. Listen to audio books.

Conclusion on stoic habits

Cultivating stoic habits can greatly benefit our lives in many ways. By practicing the principles of stoicism, such as focusing on what is within our control, accepting what we cannot change, and cultivating a sense of gratitude, we can develop a greater sense of inner peace and resilience in the face of adversity. Stoicism can help us better understand ourselves, our values and our place in the world.
