Epiphany, Epiphany gift. In this new post we are going to talk about how to search Google specifically. We will do it through 10 tips that I have recruited in order to get the most out of web searches.
File type search
If we want to focus the search on PDF files, the ideal is to use this:
file type:pdf cheat sheet excel
This way, the search will only show us pdf documents related to the criteria we have requested.
Search in a website
With this option, we will get search results only on that website. For example:
site:bolsamania.com telefónica shares
Search for results before a specific date
If we need this criterion, the ideal is to use ‘before’ to search for results. To do this, we must specify the date in year-month-day format or year format. Let’s see an example:
ai prompt before:2023
Searching for results after a specific date
Similarly, if we need this criterion, ideally we should use ‘after’ to search for results For this, we should specify the date in year-month-day format or year format. Let’s see an example:
TikTok growth after:2023
Search for exact terms
In this case, we must use quotation marks to search for the exact term. An example could be:
“how to make money using chatgpt”.

Obtain results that combine two search topics
To do this, we must use AND. Let’s see an example:
marketing and strategy for SMEs
Get results for any two search topics
For this, we must use O. Let’s see an example:
Pinterest or Instagram
Filter words that we don’t want to see in the search results
In this case, the option is to use – (middle hyphen). Example:
ChatGPT -design
When we do not know what word to look for in a search definition
For this, we can use * (asterisk). Example:
How to make money with *
Search range
If we want to search within a range, we can use .. (consecutive colon). For example:
iPhone ads 2020..2022
